Couples Conference in Lübeck

We have an occasional missionary Couples Conference now and then. It gives us a small break from working with young adults all week long. That would be someone else to communicate and socialize with that also has children and grandkids. We took a little evening break and toured the City of Hamburg, and saw much of Old Harbor District, the commerce center of northern Germany for a few centuries. Even today the docks and warehouses are packed with products, most coming from China and the Middle East. There is a picture of hauling pallets of Persian carpets from Iran via a pulley system 300 years old to a 3rd story warehouse. Some of those carpets we looked at in one of the shops, cost over $50,000. Also, you´ll notice a helicopter has landed on the small bridge to ferry a worker who fell from working on the soon to be Hamburg Live Theater Complex. And, dinner for us tonight would naturally be something fishy at the river's edge at Nord See. Let's see, we had grilled Seelachs (white pollack) with Salz Kartoffeln mit Gemüse (that would be potato and vegetables). Yummy!
