Dave works with Uwe Uhlenberg on the Hamburg Stake High Council, and we both work with his wife Waltraut who is one of our Institute instructors, and then they often have us over for lunch. Uwe is a very good cook. They have a nifty little home garden about 2 km from their apartment, a carry-over from World War II, where after the War, with most of the homes and industry destroyed by bombing by Allied Airplanes, the government set up and allowed the Germans to create little gardens to grow their own food. The gardens still exist all over northern Germany today and are a nice little plot of heaven to supplement their needs. Plus, Uwe´s green beans are pretty good.
