Here we have Marie giving her blood at one of many service oriented projects for the youth, with over 150 pints going to the International Red Cross. And, ah yes, if you could afford it, and certainly that was not the young adults or their leaders, you could have stayed in the Schloß Ehringerfeld (Ehringerfeld Castle), which some wealthy land baron from the 17th Century built for his summer retreat from the heat of Cologne. Complete with a mote and a dozen of its own deer (the mule was extra) you could enjoy what life was like among the aristocracy of early Germany. And, did I mention, it rain most of the day.
