Getting Settled

Church was great and there are a lot of English speaking members. In fact, there are about 10 families that have someone in their family either from England, did missions in the states, are from Ghana, Chili, Iraq or elsewhere that speak English. Mom did, however, have a sister missionary right by her side that did the translation. I did pretty well and even went to the pulpit and bore my testimony. Not only did we have a break the fast spread, it was by any accounts the biggest I have attended in many years, more food than I thought possible for a ward...And a bout 150 there. Next week we go to the Oldenburg Branch for a visit.

We are in the apartment and mom loves it...pergo floors, lace curtains, colonial red wall in master bedroom. There is only one bedroom, plus toilet, shower and laundry facilities. Small kitchen, however, equipped with all we need. We are the dishwashers and the garbage disposal is taken outside. We are on the 4th floor, but have an elevator, and two balcony's, and the livingroom is large and most everything was included as the Mission home and staff took care of us very nicely. They even stocked the kitchen with dishes, pans and food. The refrigerator is nice and built in with the cabinets, albeit it is small with a tiny little freezer. 3 bags of frozen vegies and we are full. Well, we are only cooking for two.

We are making this short, cause the internet cafe is operated by the middle east and there is a lot of 2nd hand smoke, so we'll sign off and email tomorrow as after our District Meeting with the Bremerhafen Elders. We are going to Hamburge office for some business items, then we have a meeting with the Hamburg Stake President at 5:30 and with our Mission President. Busy day for us. Well, we will chat latter.
